Qualification : Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with specialization in structural design, project management or engineering principles from a reputed university.  Master’s in Structural or Civil domain with specialization in advanced structural analysis, Design techniques, or project execution skills is preferred. Proficiency in technical tools & Software such as: o STAAD Pro, SAP 2000 o RFEM / RSTAB o SAFE, ETABS o PLAXIS 2D / 3D  Expertise in technical skills such as:Wind Turbine Generator Foundation Design o Geo technical Risk Assessment and Mitigation. o Civil Design works o Hydrological Flood Risk Assessment o Seismic Hazard Interpretation and Analysis o Proficiency in relevant codes and standards (BIS, ASCE, AISC, SBC, EUROCODE etc.

Job Description :

To act as a Civil & Structural WTG Foundation Design Expert for renewable wind projects
development including analysis, design, optimization, and documentation of various types of wind
turbine foundation, while ensuring compliance with international standards.
Prepare in-house basic design engineering packages and review external design documents in
close coordination with various civil experts (geotechnical, hydrology, BoP), electrical, and
other relevant stakeholders. Ensure the delivery of comprehensive, high-quality basic design
outputs and technical support across renewable energy projects, with a focus on developing
safe, cost- effective, and certifiable foundation solutions.
Fully focus on optimizing overall project cost while ensuring quality and long-term asset reliability.

WTG Foundation Design: Perform
comprehensive structural design and analysis
for a wide range of Wind Turbine Generator
foundation types, including gravity-based,
spread footings, piled, rock-anchored, ribbed
beam, shallow mat foundations, etc.
Optimize foundation designs forcost, material
efficiency, and constructability.

Material Selection: Choose appropriate
construction materials based on structural
requirements, cost-effectiveness, sustainability,
and environmental impact. Ensure the selected
materials meet the necessary performance
criteria and contribute to the overall
efficiency and durability of the wind turbine
structures.

Compliance with Codes and Standards: Ensure
all designs meet local, national, and
international building codes and standards.’

Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify
potential structural risks and design structures to
mitigate these risks.

Compliance with Codes and Standards: Ensure

Team Collaboration: Work closely with
geotechnical, electrical, CTS teams and other
expert teams to integrate all elements into
overall project designs.
Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify
potential structural risks and design structures to
mitigate these risks.
Policies & Procedures: Implement departmental
policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to
maintain standards and service levels for
customers and stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement: Manage and
motivate the team to drive and implement
change initiatives and projects according to
organizational standards.

Load and Stress Calculation: Calculate loads and
stresses on wind turbine structures, including gravity,
wind, seismic activity, and operational fatigue.
Assess the impact of loads on structural components
to ensure integrity under static and dynamic
conditions. Design structural elements like towers,
foundations, and support structures to ensure
stability and safety.

Technical Documentation and Review:
Prepare and validate key design documents
including Structural Design Basis Reports,
BOQs, detailed drawings, and calculation
packages. Conduct technical reviews to
ensure accuracy, constructability, and
alignment with project specifications.
Collaborate with internal teams. And certifying agencies to support the design
Approval and certification process.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with
geotechnical, electrical, CTS teams and other
expert teams to integrate all elements into
overall project designs.

Policies & Procedures: Implement departmental
policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to
maintain standards and service levels for
customers and stakeholders.

 

Adhoc support to the management: Perform
other related duties or assignments as
directed.

COMMUNICATION & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal:
To deliver Business Development requirements and Strategic sourcing / procurement teams with
the technical support needed.
Working closely within the Engineering office expert team to prepare the basic design package
consistently aligned with the internal technical services technology team

External:
Needs to build a rapport with EPC Contractors, Engineering firms, Vendors, external consultants,
technical experts, and solution providers, etc. on new ways to optimize the project design and
Equipment specs.
