Experience Required : 10-15 Years of experience Certifications: ASNT Level II  OR ISO 9712  LEVEL 2 in Non-Destructive Testing (especially UT and MT) and potentially welding inspection certifications (CSWIP or AWS). Experience: Usually requires 10-15 years in steel Industry including offshore Industry  and experience  of 3-4 years in plate Mills Knowledge: Proficiency with international codes like ASME Section II (Materials), ASTM, and project-specific standards (e.g., Qatar Energy Saudi Aramco or IOCL specs).  Experience of working on Saudi  Aramco and Qatar project is  preferred

Job Description :

• Material Verification: Review Mill Test Certificates (MTCs) for compliance with chemical composition and mechanical property requirements (e.g., tensile strength, impact testing). 
• Visual & Dimensional Inspection: Conduct surface inspections for defects like rust, laminations, or cracks and verify plate thickness, width, and length against approved drawings. 
• Witnessing Tests: Attend and witness mandatory tests such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT) for internal soundness, hardness checks, and any project-specific supplementary tests (e.g., HIC or SSC testing). 
• Traceability & Marking: Witness “hard stamping” or marking of plates to ensure traceability from the raw heat/cast number to the finished product. 
• Documentation Review: Audit the manufacturer’s Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), Quality Control Manuals, and calibration certificates for all testing equipment. 
• Reporting: Issue detailed Inspection Visit Reports (IVR) and Final Release Notes confirming the plates are cleared for shipping.
